Lack of activity

No, I have not given up on this blog. Just some busy work keeping me from consistently posting. I have two posts in the works for "You should be watching: CLANNAD+Afterstory" and "Breaking Bad." Hopefully, I can finish them up soon.

PS. Also, Clannad is a little troublesome seeing as I can't bring myself to watch through Afterstory without refilling my tear ducts.

Passed my hellish week of finals, its a good day.

Chihayafuru

Oh yeah, today was Taichi Tuesdays. Chihayafuru is an anime about high school students playing Karuta. Karuta is basically a speed card matching game where the matching cards are from 100 poems that all have 2 verses. When the first verse is read, you slap the card with the second verse. The game is generally played by elementary students to help them learn the cultural 100 poems.

I'm stealing the catchphrase from Funimation as a pre-title for series that I recommend watching.

Cool guys don't look at explosions

Within the first 2 minutes, Gai completely shows up Shu in how to be an emo, people-using, anti-hero bad-ass. Then, after the OP, within the next 3 minutes, he takes over the world by commandeering 256 Leukocyte satellite weapons. THAT, my friends, is how you f-ing come back to life in style!

Mahou Sensei Negima! - Anime Final

The announcement for this movie was soooo long ago that I pretty much forgot about it until it popped up by UTW and Commie today. This time I think I will do the full review that this adaptation deserves instead of just half-assed comments like I do for episodic shows.

Queen's Blade Rebellion

Er...I won't really review this. Just bask in the irony of the above image...

High School DxD 07

Highschool DxD is definitely the most NSFW anime for this season. It does not hide the nipples with half-assed censoring like other fan service series hoping to milk the DVD sales.

Aquarion EVOL 08, Shakugan no Shana F 19

The most risque episode of Aquarion EVOL so far definitely. The AmataXMikonoXZessica triangle is pretty much officially set in stone if it was not previously. At least Zessica is definitely locked into the Amata route.

Guilty Crown 17, LE:Ginyoku no Fam 16+17, InuXBoku SS 06

Marathon-ed these episodes late last night. The first two had me face-palming. The last two were the ones I actually really enjoyed, which says loads about the first two as LE:GnF17 was a recap episode...

Fullmetal Alchemist: The Sacred Star of Milos

It's midnight now, so naturally I started watching this new epic chapter in the FMA legend while waiting for my hair to dry before going to sleep. I'm currently still just 10 minutes in, but I already enraptured by this fresh revisit to the nostalgic FMA universe. There has already been two battle sequences which is enough to say that the animation is top notch. Our favorite metal duo, new unexplored country, mysterious new alchemy techniques...I can only forgo sleep to continue watching. Will continue to write this review after I finish watching...
